1) Discrepancies in cash dispensation: When ATM fails to dispense cash at all or dispenses a lower amount of cash than what you had demanded, and yet your account was debited by demanded  amount. To deal with this issue the apex bank had asked banks to resolve the complaints within 7 days, or a penalty for failure would be paid by the bank to the costumer. According to RBI, “Online monitoring of ATMs having high number of dispenser problems, follow up with manufacturers for periodical preventive maintenance, training of custodians to ensure proper cash loading and oversight of Senior Management on resolution and corrective action are some of the steps taken to address the discrepancies in cash dispensation.”

CHEYENNE -- No in-state candidates are among the six semifinalists being considered for the Wyoming Department of Education director position. The State Board of Education announced its narrowed-down list for the newly created post Thursday. The candidates come from across the country and include backgrounds in school administration, business and state government. The semifinalists are:- Tony Apostle, retired superintendent of Puyallup Public Schools in Puyallup, Wash.- Charles Hokanson, president of the Hokanson Consulting Group, which is an Arlington, Va., firm that works with government agencies and nonprofits on education strategy.- Stanley Olsen, director of business development for Silverback Learning Solutions, an educational technology company in Boise, Idaho. He is a former superintendent of the Boise School District and the Natrona County School District in Casper.- Richard Crandall, a Republican state senator from Arizona. He is also CEO and chief financial officer of Crandall Corporate Dietitians and CN Resources out of Mesa, Ariz.- Michael Sentance, a consultant specializing in educational change out of Concord, Mass.- Norman Ridder, superintendent of Springfield Public Schools in Springfield, Mo.State Board of Education Chairman Ron Micheli said the state is fortunate to be able to choose from the diverse group.“First of all, we are very excited about the quality of candidates coming in,” he said in a recorded statement. “They are coming in from all over the nation with impeccable credentials.”The State Board of Education will interview the six semifinalists today and Saturday.Part of the interviews will be in closed-door sessions. But each semifinalist will also be available for 30 minutes to answer questions from the public.Micheli said the open process is important so input from the public can help board members narrow down the list to three candidates.“We think it’s terribly important to involve the public as much as they want to be involved in this process,” he said. “It will be incredibly important to make sure the concerns and accolades be heard from the regular public, as well as from the board.”Once the list is narrowed down to three, it will be sent to Gov. Matt Mead, who must appoint a permanent director by Dec. 1.The Department of Education director is a new position created by Senate File 104.The law, which was passed earlier this year by the Wyoming Legislature, transferred many of the powers and duties from Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill to the new appointed position.Mead appointed Wyoming Community College Commission director Jim Rose as the interim director. The State Board of Education hired Ray and Associates, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa, consulting firm, in March to conduct a nationwide search for a permanent director. The position was advertised with a salary of $190,000 to $220,000 plus benefits. The firm contacted 315 possible candidates from 45 states and 13 countries. Only 12 of the 315 were from Wyoming, according to a news release.Eighty-four candidates then applied for the position.“We took the 84 (applications) down to nine, and then we went through each of those applications, and now we are inviting six applicants to come in for a face-to-face interview Friday and Saturday,” Micheli said. “The criterion was who can take what has been a fairly contentious and difficult issue in Wyoming and move forward.”
